Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji was born in Oloba Compound, Edun Abon, Osun State on 13 February 1967 to Pa David Oladeji, who is a Christian of the Baptist extraction, and Madam Elizabeth Oyeronke Oladeji. He attended Baptist Primary school, Edun-Abon. He was a brilliant pupil but sickness, which often assailed him and which eventually affected his legs, dulled his chances to read to a level he personally could have desired. As the sickness which almost crippled him continued to assail the young Hezekiah unabated, he lost his mother in 1982, in the quest to get a cure, and since the sickness did not allow him to complete his secondary education, his father had to hand him over to Abela Oye, an auto mechanic in Osogbo, as an apprentice for a four-year training, but he eventually spent six years.
The Osogbo vocational training was to change the course of his life as he joined the Christ Apostolic Church as a member in 1983 on the day he arrived in the town to commence his four-year apprenticeship as a mechanic. He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour and began to devote his life to fasting and prayer. He received healing for his leg problem and did away with crutches. With this miracle, he told God he was going to serve Him in the Christ Apostolic Church forever.
His call into the ministry came soon after he became a truly born-again Christian as he devoted himself to God through prayers, fasting, Bible reading, and evangelism. Alone in the church one night, in 1985, he saw Jesus Christ and Apostle Babalola in what seemed like a daylight vision. They told him: “We are sending you on a mission in Christ Apostolic Church. You must be obedient and must not copy anybody”.
After completing apprenticeship for six years and having served as a journeyman for another two years, he decided to go solo. He tried establishing his own mechanic workshop but all to no avail. He was getting poorer. He had to combine mechanic work with doing menial jobs like carrying goods for people, doing menial jobs on farms as a laborer and just anything for survival. Worried about how to break the poverty shackles, Oladeji continued to seek God’s face in fasting and prayers. He enrolled at Babajide School of Prophets and Evangelist in 1992. Midway through the course, God told Prophet Babajide to single him out for graduation. Prophet Babajide told him, “God had taught you from heaven”. This was during the headship of Pastor Olaniyi. Prophet Babajide signed his certificate and asked him to go and commence his ministerial work but Oladeji did not heed the call. He hid the certificate in a box under his bed and began to continue seeking breakthrough from his mechanic work, yet the work did not prosper as he began to live from hand to mouth.
Hezekiah, a staunch lover of God, dedicates his life to prayer and service. In fact, He started every year with a 21-day fast and prayer on different mountains at different locations. He lives his life for the service of God. Although he serves God wholeheartedly, he still carried a heavy burden in his heart that broke him every day. Hezekiah had been married for a while, but his wife was yet to bear a child.
You know everyone wants a little one in their space, scattering things and bringing life to the home, but sadly, Prophet Hezekiah was yet to experience this. Rather than look for methods that contradicted his faith, as most people would, Hezekiah chose to continuously seek the face of God by fasting and praying. He was on one of his routine prayer sessions when God told him to head down to two mountains where He, God, was waiting to meet with him.
Hezekiah Oladeji, without further delay, located the first mountain, prayed, and then headed to the second mountain, which was then called Ido Ajuwon but is now called Ido Ajinare. It was on this mountain that God spoke to Prophet Hezekiah, saying, "I have heard all your cries and pleas, but I won't answer now." He then instructed him to head to the Mountain of Mercy, Erio, where he would receive new instructions.
Just like Daniel 11:32b says, 'but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits", Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, knowing and trusting his God, proceeded to the Mountain of Mercy Erio, Ekiti.
Upon getting to the Mountain of Mercy, Erio, God spoke to him and told him, "I have heard your cry, and I have answered your prayers. I will bless you with a female child, and I will also bless you with a car tomorrow as proof that I have answered your prayers." Just as God spoke, He did. This act further increased Prophet Hezekiah's faith in God. Years later, in 2003, after 21 days of fasting and prayers, God encountered Prophet Hezekiah and instructed him to start a yearly 7-day revival every month of June. Prophet Hezekiah further asked what the programme should be, and God said, "Apostle Ayo Babalola Power Explosion."
Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji has since moved in leaps and bounds, propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ home and abroad across countries and continents far and near. He is bringing the goodnews to Canada.
